Program Overview!

The NL Scholarship is backed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and delivered through UTwente and other Dutch higher‑education institutions. It’s designed to help UTwente students explore academic and professional opportunities beyond Europe—broadening horizons and enhancing cultural competence. The university ensures mobility aligns with students’ degree requirements and monitors safety in line with national travel advisories. This approach combines institutional oversight with national-level funding to support international learning.

Want to gain international experience outside the EEA with financial support from your home university? The NL Scholarship at UTwente offers €2,500 to support study, internships, or graduation abroad—making it a powerful boost for your academics and CV. Here are three reasons to apply: substantial funding for non-EEA experiences, flexible mobility options from 7 to 52 weeks, and a fair selection process via lottery or faculty nomination. If you’re a full-time UTwente student planning accredited mobility in 2025–26 outside Europe, this is your financial springboard. Don’t miss out!

UTwente students enrolled full-time can apply for funding for a 7–52 week study, internship, or graduation assignment at institutions outside the EEA. Approved mobility activities must earn at least 10 ECTS and contribute directly toward the student’s degree. Applications are confidentially reviewed, eligibility confirmed by Mobility‑Online, and awardees are selected through a fair lottery or faculty nomination.
