Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Indian
  • Categories: Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Laboures, and Traditional Artisans
  • Age: Below 35 years as of April 1 of the selection year
  • Education:
    • For Master’s: Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks
    • For Ph.D.: Master’s degree with at least 60% marks
  • Income: Total family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 per annum
  • Admission: Confirmed admission to an accredited foreign university/institution

Application Process

  1. Application Period: The portal opens mid-February for 45 days annually
  2. Online Application: Submit applications through the official NOS portal:

    • Academic transcripts and certificates
    • Proof of admission to a foreign institution
    • Caste/category certificate
    • Income certificate
    • Passport copy
    • Statement of Purpose
  4. Selection Process: Applications are reviewed, and shortlisted candidates are notified. The selection is based on academic merit, the institution’s ranking, and the course’s relevance.
