Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian
- Categories: Scheduled Castes, Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Laboures, and Traditional Artisans
- Age: Below 35 years as of April 1 of the selection year
- Education:
- For Master’s: Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks
- For Ph.D.: Master’s degree with at least 60% marks
- Income: Total family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 per annum
- Admission: Confirmed admission to an accredited foreign university/institution

Application Process
- Application Period: The portal opens mid-February for 45 days annually
- Online Application: Submit applications through the official NOS portal:
- Required Documents:
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- Proof of admission to a foreign institution
- Caste/category certificate
- Income certificate
- Passport copy
- Statement of Purpose
- Selection Process: Applications are reviewed, and shortlisted candidates are notified. The selection is based on academic merit, the institution’s ranking, and the course’s relevance.
