Program Overview!
Looking to strengthen your leadership in global development? The Global Leadership Program 2025 by Aga Khan Foundation Canada is a fully sponsored, professional development journey for mid-career Canadians. Over eight months, selected participants will dive into local and global issues, attend an in-person seminar in Ottawa, and engage in virtual learning sessions. If you’re passionate about creating a peaceful, pluralist world, this program is your gateway to growth, networks, and impact.
The AKFC Global Leadership Program 2025 is designed for mid-career Canadian professionals from diverse sectors who wish to deepen their understanding of global and domestic challenges. Participants engage in virtual sessions, attend a fully funded in-person seminar in Ottawa (Nov 2–6, 2025), and may participate in an international learning experience. The program focuses on collaboration, reflection, and leadership for a more inclusive and equitable world.

Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Fluent in English
- Available for in-person seminar (Nov 2–6, 2025)
- Committed to attending virtual sessions (pre and post seminar)
- Demonstrated interest in global equity and leadership
- $100 CAD commitment fee if selected (waivers available upon request)
Application Process
- Visit the AKFC Global Leadership Program Submittable portal.
- Create an account and complete the application form.
- Submit by June 8, 2025.
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed (June–July 2025).
- Final selections announced by August 8, 2025.
