The ERCIM Alain Bensoussan Fellowship supports outstanding PhD holders (obtained within the past eight years or in the final year of their thesis) to undertake 12-month postdoctoral research at ERCIM member institutes. Fellows join advanced research teams in cutting-edge Informatics and Applied Mathematics, with flexibility between stipend agreements or employment contracts based on host institute norms.

Eligibility Criteria

  • PhD obtained within the past 8 years (with exceptions for career breaks) or in final thesis year with exceptional record
  • Research background in computer science, informatics, or applied mathematics
  • Mobility requirements: cannot host in your own nationality country; no >6 months past affiliation with host institute within 3 years
  • Applicants from academia or industry are both eligible

    • Publication list
    • Two full scientific papers in English
    • References from two referees
  3. Choose host institute and ensure compliance with mobility conditions
