DAAD Helmut‑Schmidt Programme
International applicants from developing/emerging countries
Program Overview!
The DAAD is Germany’s premier organisation for international academic exchange, funded by the German government. It offers scholarships and funding to foster global academic cooperation and leadership development across disciplines.
Are you passionate about shaping public policy and social justice in your country? The DAAD Helmut‑Schmidt Programme offers three powerful reasons to apply: it fully funds postgraduate studies in public policy and governance, provides a generous monthly stipend (~€992), and connects you with top German universities and like-minded global peers. Designed for early-career leaders, this scholarship equips you with practical skills, networking opportunities, and a platform to drive real change back home.
Targeted at recent graduates from developing countries, this fully-funded scholarship supports English-taught Master’s programs in public policy, international relations, and related fields. Candidates apply directly to partner universities (e.g., Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Erfurt, Passau) via their German-taught Master’s programs.
