Benefits:
- Financial support of ₹50,000 per annum for every year of study
- Applicable for a maximum of 4 years for Degree courses and 3 years for Diploma courses
- Covers expenses related to tuition fees, purchase of books, equipment, software, laptops, and other educational materials
- No additional grants are provided for hostel or medical charges
- Scholarship amount is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the student’s bank account

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a girl student admitted to the first year of a Degree or Diploma course or the second year through lateral entry in any AICTE-approved institution
- Maximum two girl children per family are eligible for the scholarship
- Family income from all sources should not exceed ₹8 lakh per annum during the current financial year
- A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government is required
- Students admitted through management quota are not eligible

Application Process
- Online Application:
- Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) during the application period
- Register and complete the application form for the Pragati Scholarship
- Document Upload:
- Upload scanned copies of required documents, including:
- Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standard
- Admission letter to the Degree/Diploma course
- Income certificate issued by the competent authority
- Bank account details linked with Aadhaar
- Aadhaar card
- Declaration by parents duly signed stating that the information provided is correct and the scholarship amount will be refunded if found false at any stage
- Upload scanned copies of required documents, including:
- Verification:
- The application will be verified at two levels:
- Institution level: The institute where the student is enrolled will verify the application
- State/UT level: The Department of Technical Education (DTE) of the respective State/UT will conduct the second level of verification
- The application will be verified at two levels:
- Selection:
- Merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th for Diploma and 12th for Degree courses)
- State/UT-wise merit list will be prepared as per the number of scholarships allotted
- Disbursement:
- Selected candidates will receive the scholarship amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to their bank accounts
